The Peacocks were frustratingly denied at the death by Bath City and had to settle for a point from a 1-1 draw in the National League South this evening.
The visitors edged a goalless first half but Town upped their game after the break and took the lead after 53 minutes when Joe Budd’s cross from the right sailed over Joe Wright in the Bath goal to find the far corner. The Peacocks looked comfortable until deep into stoppage time when an effort from Bath hit the bar and was cleared for a corner from which Alex Fletcher glanced a header beyond Jack Bycroft to salvage a point.
