Having originally been on loan with the Peacocks two years earlier, Zac signed for the club in the summer of 2021 following his release from Bristol City and has now made over 100 appearances for Taunton. The midfielder had been at the Championship club from the age of 7 and progressed through their youth system to play for both the Under 18 side and then the Under 23’s who he went on to captain. He signed a pro contract in May 2019 and was then loaned out to the Peacocks in August of that year when his talents soon became obvious as he won the Man of the Match award on his debut at home to Chesham. Unfortunately he suffered an ankle injury at Metropolitan Police at the end of the following month which saw him miss two months of the campaign. After returning to the side his spell with the club ended when he joined Bath City in January 2020 on loan until the end of the season. He was an unused substitute for three City first team games last season as he continued featuring for the U23’s until his departure. His consistent performances for the Peacocks have not gone unnoticed since his arrival as he won the Ernie Price Memorial Trophy for the 2021-22 season and the Champagne Performer award the following year.
