The Peacocks had to settle for a point after coming from behind to draw 1-1 at lowly Kings Langley in the Southern League this afternoon (9th October).

Both sides had openings in a goalless first half, Arel Amu heading the hosts’ best opportunity over the bar while Jared Lewington missed a great chance for the Peacocks. Kings Langley took the lead after 50 minutes when Kabir Kareem cut in from the right flank to curl a fine effort beyond Will Buse into the far corner before Town drew level after 77 minutes when Jake Wannell headed home a Zac Smith corner. Neither side could conjure up a winner, a draw being a fair result overall after a flat performance from the Peacocks who now concentrate on Tuesday’s Southern League Cup tie at home to Barnstaple Town
