The Peacocks had to settle for a point against Poole Town for the second time this season after the two sides fought out a 1-1 Southern League draw at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium this afternoon.

The home side had the better of the first half, Dolphins’ keeper Tommy Scott pulling off several saves to keep the score blank before Town took the lead on 25 minutes when Scott couldn’t hold Jay Foulston’s shot and Ross Stearn was on hand to fire in the loose ball. The Peacocks however failed to build on their lead after the break and Poole levelled on 58 minutes when Tony Lee converted from the spot after Foulston’s challenge on Jack Dickson. Neither team could convert the half chances that arose in the final half hour, the result leaving Town occupying 9th spot.
