It was a point on the road for the Peacocks as they battled to a 0-0 Southern League draw at Yate Town this afternoon.
Clear opportunities were at a premium throughout a scrappy game although Yate were close to taking the lead inside a minute but Will Buse denied James Harding. Harding’s header then hit the post before the visitors suffered the same fate on the stroke of half time when Jake Wannell’s header from Dan Sullivan’s free kick glanced the upright. The Peacocks came closest to scoring in the second half when Jay Foulston’s free kick rattled the crossbar but neither side could make a breakthrough.
