It was a disappointing night for the Peacocks as they slipped to a 1-0 Southern League defeat at Truro City yesterday evening.
Town failed to make the most of the few opportunities that came their way in a scrappy game on a heavy surface. The only goal of the contest came after 62 minutes when Niall Thompson received the ball on the left to curl home a strike past Will Buse into the far corner. With Farnborough losing at Tiverton, the Peacocks are still in pole position but know they will need a much improved display at Metropolitan Police on Saturday if they are to realise their ambitions.
