The Peacocks face Swindon Supermarine twice in the space of four days beginning with their visit to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium in the Southern League tomorrow afternoon (12th February), ko 3.00pm.

On Tuesday evening Town will make the reverse journey to the Webbswood Stadium in the Semi-Final of the Southern League Challenge Cup but before then will be chasing their 5th League double of the campaign tomorrow, a Toby Holmes goal securing a 1-0 win in the earlier meeting between the sides on a wet night in Wiltshire back in October. Since that encounter, Supermarine have won seven and lost nine of their League matches to sit in 15th spot. They have won their last two games, both of which have been at home but on their travels have lost their last four outings since winning at Gosport in late November. They have added to their squad this week with the capture of Matt Britton from Larkhall Athletic and have ample talent in their side to take advantage if the Peacocks are not on their game tomorrow.

Consistency has not been an issue of late for the Peacocks, having won eight League games on the spin and being undefeated in 15 competitive matches since mid-November, and they will be boosted by the return of players to the squad for tomorrow. Dan Sullivan and Ross Staley are back after missing last weekend’s trip to Merthyr while Ioan Richards came through a college game on Tuesday unscathed so is declared fit along with striker Jared Lewington. Head of Football Rob Dray commented:” For the first time this season we have a fully fit squad to choose from. We are in a good place at the moment which sets us up for the last 14 games of the season which are in effect 14 finals. The lads have worked very hard to get us to where we are, and it is what we are all in it for, but we know it won’t be easy against Supermarine as it never is.”
