The Peacocks picked up a point on the road with a 1-1 draw at Hemel Hempstead Town in the National League South this afternoon.

The result was probably about right from a scrappy game in which the visitors grabbed the lead on 17 minutes when Dan Ball headed down a Lloyd James corner and skipper Nick Grimes slotted over the line from close range.

A defensive lapse saw Hemel equalise after 31 minutes, Jernade Meade getting in behind to lay the ball across to Josh Castiglione who was alone at the far post to tuck home. Neither side was able to find the net in the second half, the point gained lifting the Peacocks up one place to 16th.
