Exactly one calendar month after the Peacocks last visited Huish Park, they return again tomorrow evening (15th November) to play Yeovil Town in the 2nd Round of the Somerset Premier Cup, ko 7.45pm.

Their previous trip along the A303 resulted in a 0-0 draw in the final qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup, with the Peacocks prevailing 1-0 in the replay. Since then the National League outfit have dispensed with the services of manager Chris Hargreaves and brought in former Swindon and Forest Green Rovers boss Mark Cooper as the man in charge which has brought an improvement in results, with the Glovers having suffered just one defeat from their last four games and gaining their first win in eight outings with a 3-1 success over Gateshead at the weekend to leave them 19th in the table.

Yeovil had a bye in the opening round of this season’s Premier Cup competition while Town dismissed Western Leaguers Odd Down at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium, Dave Sims-Burgess scoring a hat trick in a 7-0 win. The Peacocks go into tomorrow’s tie on the back of Saturday’s victory over Cheshunt, but they will have a reduced squad on duty, with Jake Wannell still not fit to return and Ollie Chamberlain now added to the injured list after tweaking his groin on Saturday. Lee Lucas and Jay Foulston are also rested. Ross Stearn is back after a vehicle breakdown forced him to miss the Cheshunt match. Head of Football Rob Dray said:” It’s a great chance to try a couple of different things tomorrow and an opportunity to give game time to one or two coming back from injury.”
