After recharging their batteries in the past week, the Peacocks face two BetVictor Southern League games in the space of three days beginning with the trip to Wimborne Town tomorrow afternoon (24th August), kick-off 3.00pm.

Last weekend’s success over Chesham United gave Town their first victory of a campaign which had started with two defeats so they will be hoping to build on that confidence-boosting result at the Cuthbury tomorrow against a Magpies side which has also begun the season unspectacularly, an opening day goalless home draw with Hartley Wintney being followed by a single goal defeat to Blackfield & Langley before another point was earnt at Hendon last Saturday. It is still very early days though and tomorrow’s meeting promises to be another tough challenge, as matches at Wimborne always tend to be.

The Peacocks’ squad is boosted by the return of midfielder Ollie Chamberlain who has served his one game suspension and the fit-again Josh Grant, but Pierce Mitchell is away. Head of Football Rob Dray said”: We have to try and build on last week’s much improved performance. We had a good training session in the week, and we all know that both boxes are very important at the moment, as we need to primarily stop conceding soft goals while making sure we take our chances at the other end. Tomorrow is crucial as it sets us up for Monday’s game.”
