The Peacocks play their penultimate pre-season friendly when they welcome old rivals Tiverton Town to Wordsworth Drive tomorrow evening (25th July), ko 7.45pm.

The game against the Southern Premier South side will provide another challenge as Head of Football Rob Dray and his management team finalise their preparations for the opener against Braintree Town a week on Saturday. Tiverton have had mixed fortunes in their friendly matches to date, losing their opening three games to Exeter City, Willand Rovers and Yeovil Town before holding Bath City to a 2-2 draw at Ladysmead and then winning 5-2 at Brixham on Saturday so will be looking for a positive performance tomorrow as they build up to their curtain raiser at home to Basingstoke Town on 5th August.

Lee Lucas and Dave Sims-Burgess both return to the Peacocks’ squad after missing the Plymouth Parkway game while Nat Jarvis is also back in the reckoning having recovered from a leg complaint. Head of Football Rob Dray said:” It will be another good test against Tiverton, we wanted these strength of teams as they will push us to where we will need to be for the start of the season. There are still things to work on and things we can do better, and the next two friendlies provide the chance for us to do that.”
