The Peacocks return to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium for their second BetVictor Southern League game of the Bank Holiday weekend when they welcome old rivals Tiverton Town tomorrow afternoon (26th August), kick-off 3.00pm.

Two consecutive wins for Town over Chesham and Wimborne have kickstarted their season following defeats in their opening two games, lifting them up to 12th in the early table. Confidence for the Peacocks is therefore on an upward turn after these two improved performances, during which they have scored six goals and also kept a clean sheet in yesterday’s win in Dorset.

Their credentials will be put to the test tomorrow though in the heat of a local derby battle with the Devon side currently lying top of the table. An opening day draw with Hayes & Yeading United in which the Yellows conceded a two goal lead has been followed by away wins at Poole Town and Walton Casuals and then a resounding 6-1 victory over Beaconsfield Town at Ladysmead yesterday. Consequently they come to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium defending an unbeaten record and eager to redress last season when the Peacocks recorded the league double over them, with a 3-1 away success followed by a 2-1 home win courtesy of Andrew Neal’s penalty and Matt Wright’s header.

The Peacocks name a full squad for tomorrow’s match with everyone fit and available.
