After the postponement of Saturday’s game due to frozen conditions, the Peacocks have another go to play their Isuzu FA Trophy game at Slough Town tomorrow evening (20th December), ko 7.45pm.

It has now been three successive games postponed for Town who have consequently fallen behind with their fixtures in the National League South, having now played as many as seven games fewer than some teams in the division. That situation won’t improve tomorrow with the FA Trophy being a diversion away from League duty whilst providing the Peacocks’ last chance of cup success this season. This will be Town’s second visit to Arbour Park during this campaign after going down to a 1-0 defeat three months ago in the National League so will be hoping for a better performance and result tomorrow as they chase the £4,500 prize money on offer for the winner and a trip to either National League Torquay United or divisional rivals Chippenham Town in the next round.

The Rebels are sat in 20th place in the League table, having recorded just one League victory since Town travelled to Slough, with their only success from their last 14 matches coming with a 3-0 win at Hanwell Town in the previous round of the FA Trophy. Recently appointed new manager Scott Davies will therefore be keen to arrest that trend and progress at Town’s expense tomorrow. As for the Peacocks, prior to their Somerset Premier Cup loss at Yeovil, they had been on a run of four games unbeaten which included the 2-1 victory over Dulwich Hamlet in the previous round of tomorrow’s competition. The squad remains unchanged.
