A busy schedule awaits the Peacocks who are on their travels this week for their next two pre-season friendlies beginning with a trip to Slimbridge tomorrow evening (27th July), ko 7.45pm.

This will be Town’s fourth warm-up game to date, with wins over Clevedon Town and Bishops Lydeard sandwiching the defeat by Exeter City. The Swans meanwhile have also had three outings, all away from home, and remain unbeaten, an opening 5-0 victory at Fairford Town being followed by 1-1 draws against Brimscombe and Thrupp, and most recently at Yate Town last Thursday. The match will therefore be a good test against the Southern League Division One South side with the start of the season just two and a half weeks away.

The Peacocks welcome back Ben Adelsbury after his covid isolation but goalkeeper Lloyd Irish is on honeymoon following his marriage last Friday. Huge congratulations to Lloyd and his wife Orla!
