The Peacocks will be aiming to recover from Saturday’s Pitching In Southern League defeat at Farnborough when they travel to Poole Town tomorrow evening (14th September), ko 7.45pm.

The weekend loss means Town have won and lost three league fixtures each, leaving them in 8th position, one point and two places below tomorrow’s opponents. The Dolphins have won two of their three home matches at the Black Gold Stadium against Tiverton and Dorchester, with their only reverse coming when Farnborough claimed a 3-1 victory last month. Away from home they have had a win, draw and loss apiece, their most recent outing seeing them gain a point in a 1-1 draw at Metropolitan Police on Saturday. Poole also possess the division’s current leading scorer in Tony Lee who has netted seven goals to date, including four in the first two games of the season, so tomorrow’s encounter is going to be another searching test of the Peacocks’ capabilities as they look to maintain their position in the top ten.

The squad will be boosted by the return of Ben Adelsbury and Ross Staley who both missed the Farnborough match but loanee Jack Veale is absent playing for Exeter City U23’s. Head of Football Rob Dray said:” It’s another tough away game tomorrow but this is what this league is all about. No game can be taken for granted and we will have to battle for every point. With a couple back tomorrow, we will dig in and have a good go at one of the title favourites.”
