It’s the final home game of 2021 for the Peacocks tomorrow evening (21st December) when they welcome Harrow Borough to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium, ko 7.45pm.

The fixture had to be rearranged from its original date in early November due to Borough’s fine run to the 1st Round Proper of the Emirates FA Cup where they only lost by a single goal to League One Portsmouth. It is a vital game against another side jostling for the play-off places, with Harrow lying two places and one point above Town in 6th spot but with the Peacocks having a game in hand. A win therefore would put Taunton on the cusp of the play-off zone and with matches in hand on two further sides above them.

Harrow will prove another hard nut to crack, although their recent form has dipped. After a run of five wins from six League games from October into late November, they have won only one of their last five fixtures since the start of the month which came at the weekend with a 3-2 victory over Tiverton Town. The Peacocks meanwhile will go into tomorrow’s match with confidence, their 1-1 draw at Chesham United on Saturday making it six games unbeaten in all competitions.

Jake Wannell serves the third and final game of his suspension while Ben Adelsbury and Dan Sullivan are still missing due to injury. New loan signing Lloyd James is in line to make his home debut. Head of Football Rob Dray remarked:” We’re facing another game against a top side in the division, and they have proved how capable they are with some good results this season. We are in a good place at the moment though and we need to finish this year’s home programme with a positive result.”

A reminder that advance ticket sales are no longer available for home fixtures. Admission is payable by card or cash at the turnstile only priced at £10 for Adults, £8 for Concessions and £5 for Juniors (14-17 years). Under 14’s are free on condition they are accompanied by an adult.
