Barely have the Peacocks returned from their trek to Kent yesterday evening then they have to reboard the coach for their next Vanarama National League South assignment at Dulwich Hamlet tomorrow afternoon (15th April), ko 3.00pm.

The trip to the London borough of Southwark tomorrow signifies Town’s fifth game in just twelve days as they reach the final fortnight of a long campaign. What is all the more remarkable is the fact the Peacocks have won all four matches prior to the fifth in a terribly congested second half of the season and they will be all out to keep the momentum going when they make their first ever visit to Champion Hill tomorrow. The sides have however already met twice this season, Town winning an FA Trophy tie by a 2-1 margin at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium in November before a 1-1 draw in the League two months ago.

Whilst Town have secured their National League status for next season, Hamlet are still perched precariously one place above the drop zone, three points clear of Cheshunt who have a game in hand, so the benefit of bringing the Peacocks’ excellent run to an end will not be lost on the Dulwich faithful, the best supported side in the division with an average home crowd this season of 2,393.

Hamlet’s form over the past ten league games shows three wins, five defeats and two draws, with these three wins significantly coming at home including successes over St Albans and Havant & Waterlooville last month. In fact they are unbeaten at Champion Hill since mid-February when Bath City recorded a 2-1 win. The Peacocks name an unchanged squad from the Dartford match.
