The Peacocks are in friendly action again tomorrow evening (19th July) when they entertain Bideford at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium, ko 7.45pm.

Pre-season preparations have so far gone well apart from a couple of injuries sustained in Friday’s game with Helston Athletic. Two comfortable wins over Western League opposition and two harder tests against Exeter and Yeovil have sharpened up the Peacocks’ match fitness and enabled the new boys in the squad to bed in, and they will take another step towards reaching best possible shape for 6th August when they renew acquaintances with their old friends and rivals from Southern League Division One South tomorrow.

This will be Bideford’s 4th friendly to date, having beaten Bridgwater United 5-1 in their first outing and then losing 2-1 at Axminster Town before bouncing back to edge out Barnstaple Town by a 2-1 margin at the weekend. The Peacocks will be missing Jay Foulston (sore knee) and Jared Lewington (hamstring) who were the injury victims on Friday, but both should be back for next week. Will Tunnicliff returns to the squad.

Admission: payable by card or cash at the turnstile only, priced at £5 for Adults and Concessions and £1 for Juniors (14-17 years). Children aged 13 and under are free on condition they are accompanied by an adult. Unaccompanied Under 14’s will not be admitted.

Last meeting: the two sides have met many times, most recently in the Southern League Challenge Cup at the Sports Ground on 7th September 2021 with the Peacocks prevailing on penalties. Relive the match highlights HERE

NOTICE: as tomorrow’s game is not against opposition of a higher level, the bar will be open as normal and alcohol will be permitted pitchside.
