The Peacocks begin a run of three successive home games when they welcome Weymouth to Wordsworth Drive in the Vanarama National League South tomorrow evening (23rd January), ko 7.45pm.

After seeing their last two games postponed due to the recent freeze, Town will be desperate to return to action tomorrow and put focus back on performances on the pitch rather than the turbulence off it. A positive result will be very much at the forefront of Peacock minds then as they seek to put further daylight between themselves and the relegation trapdoor following a sequence of just one victory from 13 League outings.

Weymouth sit just one place above Town in 19th position, two points ahead but having played three games more. They have suffered just one defeat in their past six League matches, which includes two wins courtesy of a 3-2 success at Weston-super-Mare over Christmas, their third win on the road this season, and most recently a 3-0 victory over Slough at the Bob Lucas Stadium. The Terras strikeforce of Brandon Goodship and Maidenhead United loanee Harry Parsons have also hit form in front of goal, with Goodship bagging five in his past four games while Parsons has also found the net three times since his period at the club began in mid-December.

The Peacocks name an unchanged squad from the Dover game ten days ago, with Head of Football Rob Dray saying:” The postponements have let us get several niggly injuries and a bout of food poisoning out of the way as we refocus on the second half of the season and the job in hand.”
