The Peacocks earnt a well-deserved point with a 1-1 draw at Worthing in the National League South this afternoon.

The hosts were on top early on, winning a penalty after four minutes when Ollie Chamberlain was adjudged to have fouled James Beresford. Jack Bycroft denied Ibrahim Akanbi from the spot kick but was powerless to stop Worthing from taking the lead on 11 minutes, Akanbi firing home from Javaun Splatt’s assist.

Town fought back to equalise after 38 minutes when Dave Sims-Burgess headed in Lloyd James’ cross and began to get on top in the second half before the Rebels finished strongly as it ended all square.
