The Peacocks were forced to settle for a point in the Vanarama National League South following a 1-1 draw with Dulwich Hamlet at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium this evening. A forgettable first half saw Town trail at the interval after George Porter had converted Nana Owusu’s cross to give Dulwich the lead on 35 minutes although the hosts did strike the bar via a Dave Sims-Burgess shot just before the break. The Peacocks went on to dominate the second half and after Jay Foulston’s strike had hit the post, they equalised after 58 minutes through Sims-Burgess who slotted in from Zac Smith’s centre. Town were out of luck again when Nat Jarvis found the crossbar from a Lee Lucas cross and despite plenty more attacking threat the Peacocks were unable to grab a winner which overall they deserved.
