The Peacocks began their pre-season programme of friendlies with a 3-0 victory at Clevedon Town this evening. Town came closest to scoring in a goalless first half when Ross Stearn’s shot deflected onto the bar before the deadlock was broken on 49 minutes when Austen Booth’s cross was diverted into his own net by Caleb Selway. A cracking strike from a trialist made it 2-0 after 76 minutes and another trialist added a third eight minutes from time with another fine finish from inside the box.
