The Peacocks saw their half time lead cancelled out after the break as they had to settle for a Vanarama National League South point following a 2-2 draw at Dover Athletic this afternoon.

The hosts were first on the scoresheet after 17 minutes when Archie Hatcher’s cross was slotted in at the near post by Peter Ojemen before Town levelled on 35 minutes through Jay Foulston who headed home Lloyd James’ corner. Ross Stearn then gave the Peacocks the lead five minutes into first half added time, being played through by Dylan Morgan to round keeper Billy Terrell and fire into an empty net.

Town were unable to build on their advantage after the interval and conceded the equaliser with 11 minutes to go when Hatcher curled a fine free kick past the wall to beat Peacocks’ keeper Dan Lavercombe.

The result leaves Taunton in 2nd place whilst extending their unbeaten League run to 10 matches.
