We are pleased to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Marko Radovanovic.

The 31 year old Australian has trialed in the Peacocks’ pre-season games and will provide cover and competition for Lloyd Irish during the upcoming Southern League campaign. Marko will be loaned out to Western League newcomers Helston Athletic who he made his debut for today in their League opener at Bridport.

He commented:” I’m grateful to be given the chance to sign for Taunton and work alongside Lloyd and Shay and to push each other, and to work with Connor as part of the goalkeeper union. I’m also enthusiastic about playing under Rob and the management team as I always hear great things about the club and facilities. It will be wonderful to play in front of the fans and I’m looking forward to the season with the squad to push forward to the next step.”

Radovanovic played for several teams in Australia before arriving in the UK where he has played for a number of clubs including Liverton United in the Peninsula League, Gloucester City, Hereford, Mangotsfield United and most recently Bradford Town in the Western League.

Head of Football Rob Dray added:” Since coming as a trialist, Marko has made a great impression. It was important that we had a back-up to Lloyd and also someone to push him in training along with Shay. Connor has a great keepers’ school now and we are grateful to Helston and Steve Massey for taking Marko on a long loan to enable him to play.”

Welcome to the club Marko!
