The Peacocks recorded their most handsome away success of the Vanarama National League South season with a brilliant 3-0 victory at Eastbourne Borough this afternoon.

A goalless first half saw the hosts have the better of it with Town keeper Jack Bycroft making two fine saves. The complexion of the game changed three minutes into the second half when Eastbourne’s Kai Innocent was penalised for handball and Ross Stearn converted from the penalty spot to give Town the lead which they doubled on 72 minutes with a cracking goal from Dylan Morgan who curled into the top corner from the edge of the box. Another fine goal then secured the points six minutes later when a cross from Dave Sims-Burgess was dummied by Nick McCootie and swept home inside the post by Stearn for his second of the afternoon. There were no alarms for the Peacocks for the remainder of the match as they made it two notable wins on the bounce to climb up to 16th spot in the table.
