We are delighted to confirm that Ross Stearn has signed a contract with the club for the 2022-23 season. The goalscoring midfield man joined the Peacocks in November 2021 after leaving Chippenham Town and has made a big impression at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium since his arrival.

Ross told tauntontown.com:” I’m really pleased to have signed and have next year sorted. Since I’ve come in I’ve enjoyed every minute. It obviously helps that we’ve been on a great run, but we’ve got a great bunch of lads that are a really tight knit group, the management and staff have been brilliant and everyone else around the club can’t do enough for us players. At the moment all our hard work is paying off so let’s hope we can keep it up for the last nine games and see where we end up!”

Stearn has a vast amount of higher level experience with the likes of Bath City, Sutton United and Eastleigh and since linking up with the Peacocks has scored 11 League goals in 19 appearances. Head of Football Rob Dray added: “I think it says volumes that we are signing players of the calibre of Ross. He has made a massive impression so far on and off the pitch in his time here so it’s great timing in our planning for next year that he has signed for next season as we continue securing players in the forthcoming weeks”.

Stand by for further player announcements in the next few weeks!
