There is more good news for Peacocks fans as we can confirm that Ross Staley will be remaining with us for next season. The 26 year old wide midfielder joined Town in January 2020 for his second spell after returning from playing in Australia.

Ross told tauntontown.com:” I am very happy to have re-signed for Taunton, after discussing with Rob and Meaks it was a no-brainer for me! We are again looking ahead to a big season and I am very excited to get going and help the team succeed.”

In his early career Staley earnt a pro contract at Bristol Rovers in 2012 after coming up through their Centre of Excellence. He then played for Yate Town and Gloucester City before signing for Hereford in January 2016. After nine months with the Bulls he joined Taunton in October 2016, scoring eight goals from his first 12 starts but then left to coach and play Down Under in January 2018 until his return to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium two years later.

Head of Football Rob Dray added:” Ross is hugely talented with a superb left foot and great character. His experience and quality in the last third will again be crucial for us and it’s great to have him next year.”
