The Peacocks are through to the 2nd Round of the Somerset Premier Cup after beating Odd Down 7-0 at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium this evening.

Town’s progress against the Western League side was never in doubt once Dylan Morgan had put them ahead in the 11th minute with a low shot from the left side of the box. Dave Sims-Burgess made it 2-0 on 37 minutes when he fired in off the bar from a Lloyd James corner before he doubled his tally two minutes later with a close range header from Nick McCootie’s ball into the middle.

Sims-Burgess completed his hat trick seven minutes into the second half when he fired home from the edge of the box and McCootie scored the fifth after 68 minutes, moving in from the left to bury a strike past Down keeper Oliver Coleman. James lashed home a shot on 74 minutes to add a sixth following a short corner from Ross Staley and Harry Warwick completed the scoring two minutes from time when he made ground across the edge of the area before finding the net.
