We are delighted to reveal that local talent Jamie Short will be remaining with the Peacocks for next season. Short, who can operate as a wingback or attacking winger, is the 12th player from last season’s squad to commit so far along with new signing Jared Lewington.

Jamie remarked:” I’m happy to sign for another year for my hometown club. The squad is again looking strong and exciting so hopefully we are going to be in the running next season. Personally, after a long break from league football, I can’t wait to get going again with the Peacocks.”

He made his debut for the club back in August 2009, going on to represent the Peacocks for seven seasons before departing in 2016 to join Tiverton Town. After two years in Devon, he then signed for Street before returning to Taunton in the summer of 2019. To date he has made 223 full and 63 sub appearances and scored 30 goals.

Head of Football Rob Dray added:” It’s great to have Shorty again. He’s one of the most popular members of the squad and on his day absolutely devastating with the ball at his feet. He gives everything and love him to bits.”
