We are very happy to report that Jamie Short is the latest player from last season to agree terms to stay at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium.

Attacking winger/wingback Short is the sixth Peacock from the 2019-20 campaign to stay on board for whenever the new season commences. He made his debut for the club in August 2009 as a substitute against Paulton Rovers and went on to represent Town for seven seasons before leaving in 2016 to join Tiverton Town. After two years in Devon he then signed for Street before returning to Taunton last summer. To date he has accumulated 213 full and 63 sub appearances and scored 29 goals (all stats quoted for players include the 2019-20 season).

Short told tauntontown.com:” Really pleased to sign again for my hometown club. The new signings Rob has made are exciting and personally after a better second half of the season I can’t wait to get going again.”

Head of Football Rob Dray commented:” Jamie is another good local lad with plenty of ability and his dynamism will be crucial as we evolve the squad. I’m delighted he has agreed to stay with us.”

Good to have you back for another season Jamie!
