We are delighted to reveal that Ross Staley has agreed terms to stay with the Peacocks for next season.

He is the fourth player so far from the terminated 2019-20 season to remain with the club, having only rejoined for his second spell in January this year following some time abroad playing in Australia. Wideman Staley first arrived at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium in the autumn of 2016, after a career playing for Yate Town, Gloucester City and Hereford amongst others, and went on to score 22 goals from just 50 full and 15 sub appearances before his journey Down Under.

Staley commented:” I am really pleased to be resigning for Taunton this year. I’ve had a lot of positive talks with Rob and we are both very much looking forward to the season ahead. He has brought in some good players and we hopefully can have another successful season!”

Head of Football Rob Dray added:” Having Ross will be like a new signing. He’s working hard on his fitness and it goes without saying his quality and hard work will again be a great asset for us when we return for the new season.”

Good to have you back Ross!
