Buildbase FA Trophy action returns to the Viridor Stadium when the Peacocks host Beaconsfield Town in the 2nd Round Qualifying tomorrow afternoon (11th November), kick-off 3.00pm.

Town have been lucky so far in the competition with home ties in each round. They began with a 1-1 draw against AFC Totton and got through after a replay victory, and then two weeks ago caused an upset by knocking out Southern Premier Merthyr Town 2-1 at the Viridor. Coupled with their current form which sees them five points clear at the top of the Evo-Stik League table and unbeaten in eleven matches, Town will approach the contest in quietly confident mood of making progress and securing the £4,000 prize money. However they will need to be wary of Beaconsfield’s league results away from home which sees them undefeated on the road with five wins from six games, giving them a current standing of 7th in the East Division of the Evo-Stik League, on a par with Town’s level.

The Peacocks have met Beaconsfield on a number of occasions before when they were known as Beaconsfield SYCOB, most recently in the 2008-09 season.
The only absentee from tomorrow’s squad will be Ross Staley who is away at a wedding, otherwise manager Leigh Robinson will have a fully fit squad to select from, with Dan Sullivan, Matt Wright, Ryan Brett and Matt Buse all returning after being rested for the midweek trip to Barnstaple.

The Town boss said:” It’s a really big game for us tomorrow and a chance to win a decent amount of prize money. We progressed past this round last year and went on to play at Chelmsford and we’d all be keen to test ourselves in a similar game this year which we could well get if we can win tomorrow.”

As tomorrow is Remembrance Day the occasion will be recognised before kick-off with a special tribute.
