The Peacocks are on the road again when they travel to Oxford City in the National League South tomorrow evening (25th October), ko 7.45pm.

Town will hope to build on their very respectable point at Worthing on Saturday although it saw them slip down a place to 18th in the table. Tomorrow’s hosts City sit six spots higher in 12th but only four points ahead, both teams having played a dozen games. However it will prove another challenging evening for Rob Dray’s men against a side unbeaten in their last eight competitive fixtures. City will be buoyed by their excellent 1-0 victory at 2nd placed Havant & Waterlooville at the weekend courtesy of a stoppage time winner from Josh Ashby whilst they were the first side this season to take points off leaders Ebbsfleet with a 1-1 draw at Court Place Farm at the end of last month. In keeping with the Peacocks, they have also reached the 1st Round Proper of the Emirates FA Cup, a 4-1 victory at Hornchurch in the 4th Round Qualifying earning them a trip to League One club Fleetwood Town in the First Round Proper next weekend.

The Town boss knows his side face another hard game, remarking:” It’s a midweek away journey and another 3G pitch to contend with, let alone a side in very good nick. They will be confident after beating one of the promotion favourites and with home advantage on their pitch we will have to maintain our standards if we want to get anything out of the game. I was very pleased with our display at Worthing once we settled and I need to see a similar performance tomorrow.”

The Peacocks name an unchanged squad plus the addition of striker Nick McCootie who has served his one game suspension for five bookings.
