Town play both their final midweek game and last home fixture of the season in the Evo-Stik League when they welcome Slimbridge to the Viridor Stadium tomorrow evening (24th April), kick-off 7.45pm.

After the jubilation of Saturday’s championship shield presentation, the Peacocks can concentrate on their final two league matches starting with the visit of the Swans tomorrow for a fixture which has had to be rearranged twice, firstly due to snow and then a waterlogged pitch. The weekend win over Bristol Manor Farm was Town’s 32nd consecutive league game without defeat and they will be all out to extend that record to the end of the campaign and beyond.  They will also be aware that three more points and five more goals from their two remaining games will bring up the century for both in this remarkable season. Slimbridge who lie in 19th position are now safe from relegation and will come into the game boosted by their 4-3 victory over play-off hopefuls Bideford on Saturday. However their previous outing saw them thrashed 9-0 at Cinderford, contributing to the 38 goals they have conceded in their last ten games and 116 in the league season as a whole, the highest in the division. Town though will need no reminding that it took a late Pierce Mitchell equaliser to rescue a point from a 2-2 draw in the return match in October. Mitchell is again absent tomorrow through injury tomorrow while Nuno Felix and Keith Emmerson are both unavailable.
