It’s time for the Somerset Derby as the Peacocks make the short trip to relegation battlers Frome Town tomorrow afternoon (16 Mar), 3pm.

Taunton will be looking to get their title challenge back on track after only picking up 2 points from their last 3 outings which saw them fall behind Weymouth at the top of the league. Town can take nothing for granted at Badgers Hill and know maximum points must return to Somerset’s County Town.

The Robins are having a torrid campaign to date and last recorded a league victory over a month ago at Dorchester Town leaving them 9 point adrift from safety.

Town are without Lloyd Irish and Ben Adelsbury for what has been billed as a “must win” game. Rob Dray has moved to extend Chandler Hallet’s loan at the Viridor Stadium until the end of the season and he will be between the sticks for tomorrow’s match.

Our Head of Football said, “Tomorrow is a local derby and again brings with it another different set of circumstances which we must overcome. Frome are scrapping for their lives which makes it very unpredictable and tough to play against. We are going there with a must win mentality.”

The two sides last met in October with the Peacocks running out with a 3-0 victory.
