Town conclude their programme of friendlies when they entertain a Bristol City XI at the Viridor Stadium tomorrow evening (6th August), kick-off 7.45pm.

Pre-season has gone well for the Peacocks who have carried their unbeaten mentality into the new campaign, winning four of their five games and drawing against a strong Exeter City side. Tomorrow’s match will provide another good test for Town ahead of their opening Evo-Stik League fixture at home to Staines Town on Saturday, with City set to field a side predominantly made up of their Under 23 squad who themselves have had a successful pre-season.

After losing to Bath City in their opening game, they have since gone on to win at Torquay United and Weston-super-Mare and then beat Gloucester City on penalties to lift the Gloucestershire Senior Cup last Monday.

The Peacocks are able to name a full strength squad, with Ben Adelsbury, Keith Emmerson and Dan Sullivan all returning after missing Thursday’s win at Melksham Town.
