The biggest crowd of the season at the Viridor Stadium is anticipated tomorrow evening (24th October) when the Peacocks take on Billericay Town in an Emirates FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round replay.

The winners of tomorrow’s tie now know the prize waiting in the First Round Proper is a trip to National League side Chesterfield following the draw made live yesterday evening on BBC2. However before Town can dream of visiting the Proact Stadium they will have to first overcome the major obstacle of National League South leaders Billericay where Town turned in a great performance in Saturday’s first game to earn a replay after a 2-2 draw. After fighting back twice to equalise, the Peacocks began to get on top in the second half but missed a penalty and were then forced to withstand an onslaught from the home side in the final stages after being reduced to ten men. Town dug in though to secure the replay in which Billericay will again start as clear favourites with manager Dean Brennan set to make changes after fielding three debutants first time around.

Scorer of the first Peacocks’ goal on Saturday Andrew ‘Rocky’ Neal was the recipient of the harsh red card on Saturday but is eligible to play tomorrow. Town numbers are also strengthened by the return of Pierce Mitchell and Ryan Brett following suspension, with the remainder of the squad unchanged.

Head of Football Rob Dray commented: “Tomorrow sees another hard test for us again after Saturday’s great cup tie. Pierce and Ryan coming back into the squad will provide a welcome boost but we will undoubtedly have to be at our best in terms of concentration. One thing this team does guarantee though is hard work and application and put that with the undoubted quality we have then the beauty of the FA Cup is that the huge underdog can get a result.”

Spectators are advised to arrive early to avoid queues at the turnstiles and to guarantee a parking space. The gates will open at 6.00pm. There are no advance ticket sales with admission being cash only at the turnstile.
