Tilly, the young daughter of our goalkeeping coach Lloyd Irish, is having to undergo surgery to repair her cleft palate as well as other medical treatment to help her development as she copes with a rare birth defect. Due to lengthy waiting lists, treatment on the NHS cannot take place before the recommended age of 13 months, meaning Lloyd and wife Orla are now having to go private for the treatment to help minimize any further impact on Tilly’s ability to eat, talk and hear.
