It’s now four successive Vanarama National League South home defeats for the Peacocks after they lost 2-1 to Hemel Hempstead Town this afternoon. The visitors were much the better side in the first half, taking the lead after 14 minutes when Charlee Hughes latched onto a ball over the top to slot past Jack Bycroft. The Tudors doubled their advantage on 33 minutes when Josh Williams’ curling shot into the box found its way into the net after his initial corner had been cleared before they nearly added a third eight minutes into the second half when a Hemel breakaway saw Williams’ shot hit the bar. Half time substitute Dylan Morgan reduced the arrears after 64 minutes, rifling home into the corner after a cross had fallen loose in the box and although the goal marked an improvement from the home side, other opportunities failed to come their way as the visitors rode the storm to secure the points and leave the Peacocks precariously perched just above the relegation zone.
