We are delighted to welcome Lloyd James to the club on a loan deal from Bath City until the end of the season.

The vastly experienced 33 year old midfielder has played over 350 games as a professional, beginning his career at Southampton where he made over 70 first team appearances as well as being part of the side that reached the FA Youth Cup Final in 2005. He went on to have successful stints at Colchester United, Leyton Orient, Exeter City and Forest Green Rovers until signing for Bath in February 2020. He has also represented Wales at U17, U19 and U21 level.

Lloyd remarked:” I’m really looking forward to getting started and it couldn’t have come at a better time with the games over Christmas! Coming into a group that looks a good side already from the league position really excites me.”

Head of Football Rob Dray added:” Lloyd’s CV speaks for itself, and it was a real coup when he was offered to us. The big thing was the fire in his belly is still there to play and contribute, and his experience in our upcoming games will be crucial.”

James is included in the squad for today’s Southern League game at Chesham United.
