A fantastic second half recovery saw the Peacocks win 3-2 at Tonbridge Angels in the Vanarama National League South this afternoon.

A superb performance produced Town’s first victory in seven games after they were unfortunate to trail at the break. Jordan Greenidge fired home from the right side of the box to give Angels the lead after 21 minutes before Jay Foulston equalised eight minutes from half time with a beauty from 25 yards. However the home side regained the advantage four minutes later when Devonte Aransibia’s strike beat Lloyd Irish from the edge of the area. The Peacocks fought back in the second half and their efforts were rewarded after 64 minutes when Zac Smith was brought down and Ross Stearn scored from the penalty spot. Jake Wannell then drove home the loose ball after Stearn’s header had been clawed away to put Town ahead four minutes later, a lead which they held to claim an impressive three points and the League double.
