The club are delighted to announce their fourth signing of the close season with the arrival of Aaron Bentley to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium.
The 24 year old centre half joined Plymouth Argyle as a youth player in 2010, going on to make three first team appearances before moving to National League South Truro City in 2016. He then switched to Plymouth Parkway for the 2017-18 season and apart from a brief return to Truro in February 2019 has been with the ambitious Western League club since.
Bentley told tauntontown.com “When the interest came about, I was instantly interested as Taunton is a big club that do things so well and are looking to kick on plus I also wanted to get back up to playing in a higher division. I know a few of the lads and they can’t speak highly enough of the club as a whole. I can’t wait for the season to get back underway.”
Head of Football Rob Dray commented:” Despite his young age Aaron is experienced through the levels. What impressed me most was his desire to step back up to this level. He is another great character and a defender who can play across the back four so will be another valuable addition to the squad.”
