We are delighted to announce that Jay Foulston has signed for the Peacocks ahead of the 2020-21 season.
The 19 year old left-sided defender has impressed during Town’s pre-season friendlies following his departure from Newport County at the end of last season. A product of the Newport County Academy, he made his debut for the Welsh side as substitute in a League Cup tie whilst still only 16. He was then loaned out to Merthyr Town and for the whole of last season National League South club Chippenham Town.
He told tauntontown.com:” I’m absolutely buzzing to have signed for this great club! Can’t wait to get the season started and get back out there playing again. Looking forward to getting to know my new team mates more and also can’t wait to meet the staff and fans at the club, and hopefully have a great year of football together with a lot of success.”

He is still only 19 but played every game for Chippenham in the National League South last season and will definitely become a fans’ favourite.
