A stoppage time winner secured a third successive Vanarama National League win for the Peacocks as they beat Slough Town 2-1 at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium this afternoon.

With the wind at their backs Town had the better of the opening period and took the lead on the half hour when Jake Wannell powered home a header from Lloyd James’ corner before the Rebels drew level against the run of play in first half added time, Gabe George’s free kick being flicked on and falling for Matt Lench to fire home into the net from close range. The second half saw Town forced to defend for long periods as Slough took control before the visitors were caught out two minutes into stoppage time when Cameron Evans got free down the right to lay the ball across and Dylan Morgan was there to bury the finish to claim an unlikely victory which lifts the Peacocks into 15th place.
