The Peacocks secured their first away win of the season in the Vanarama National League South with a superb 3-0 victory at Tonbridge Angels this afternoon.

After Tonbridge’s Ruben Soares-Junior had fired against the post in the opening minute, Town hit back to take the lead after 7 minutes when Nat Jarvis released Dylan Morgan down the right and he advanced into the box to blast home past Jonathan Henly. Morgan then added a second on 26 minutes, slotting the ball home from eight yards after being played in by Zac Smith. Soares-Junior’s shot struck the crossbar early in the second half before the Peacocks confirmed victory when Nick McCootie got the better of his man on the left, strolled inside and picked out the corner with a lovely angled finish on 68 minutes. The Town defence stood firm throughout the 90 minutes while keeper Dan Lavercombe made a couple of fine saves as Town provided their most accomplished performance of the campaign so far.
