The Peacocks recorded their second away victory in the National League South this season with an excellent 3-1 victory at Weymouth this afternoon.

Town took the lead after 26 minutes when Zac Smith slotted home from Jay Foulston’s through ball before home pressure paid off in first half stoppage time with Ahkeem Rose finding the net to leave it level at the break. Lee Lucas scored his first Taunton goal when he restored the Peacocks’ advantage five minutes into the second half with a fine strike from the edge of the box but Town were forced to withstand a good deal of pressure with efforts from Bradley Ash and Rose both hitting the crossbar. The Peacocks held firm though and wrapped up the points five minutes into stoppage time, with Nick McCootie blasting home a superb strike after going on a solo crossfield run.
