It’s now eight Southern League games undefeated for the Peacocks after they secured a gritty 1-0 victory at Dorchester Town this afternoon.

Despite the wet conditions Town played some fine football in the first half and deservedly led after 17 minutes when Zac Smith delivered an excellent cross from the right and Jared Lewington steered his header past keeper Jack Bycroft. Dorchester were far more prominent after the break as the Peacocks were disrupted by losing players to knocks but the defence stood firm to ensure the points returned to Somerset, maintaining Town’s sixth place in the table.
