Nat Jarvis scored for the second successive National League South game to earn the Peacocks a 1-0 victory over Cheshunt in a dour contest at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium this afternoon.
Town were in the ascendancy during a first half in which they missed several opportunities, the breakthrough coming a minute before half time when a move down the left ended with Zac Smith’s lofted cross being converted by a stooping header from Jarvis. The second half was a scrappy affair, with Jack Bycroft preserving the win with a fine reaction save from a deflected cross. The Peacocks did enough though to claim an important three points to preserve their 17th place in the table.
