The Peacocks advanced to the 1st Round Proper of the Emirates FA Cup after beating Yeovil Town 1-0 at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium this evening in their 4th Round Qualifying replay.
It was no more than Town deserved over the two ties as they outfought their National League visitors, grabbing the vital goal after 26 minutes when the Glovers were penalised for a handball from Lloyd James’ free kick and the midfield man sent Grant Smith the wrong way from the penalty spot. Yeovil failed to really trouble Jack Bycroft in the home goal while the Peacocks missed a few chances to make their victory more comfortable as they now look forward to visiting MK Dons in the next round in a few weeks’ time.
