The Peacocks continued their build-up to the 2022-23 season with a resounding 6-0 friendly win at Frome Town this evening.
It was the perfect way to bounce back from the midweek defeat, with Town netting three goals in each half to secure a convincing victory. Joe Budd blasted home a volley to put the Peacocks ahead on 32 minutes before Jake Wannell added a quickfire second two minutes later with a deflected 25 yard strike. Nat Jarvis scored his first goal in claret and blue five minutes before the break and then added a second after 57 minutes when he clipped a through ball over Kyle Phillips. Substitute Harry Warwick was brought down and fired home from the penalty spot to make it 5-0 after 68 minutes and Ioan Richards scored the final goal of the evening five minutes from time when he netted with a header at the near post.
